A Day in the Life of an Apprentice Plumber

As an Apprentice Plumber, you are eager to learn! You ask questions, observe, and emulate the values we adhere to here at Route 66 Plumbing. You go out in the field and assist our experienced plumbers. As you assist them and help increase their efficiency, they mentor and train you on everything from how to talk with customers to how to service and install plumbing systems and equipment. You also help keep trucks, tools, and job sites clean and organized.

You are a hard worker who does whatever is asked of you and pays close attention to what you’re being taught. You enjoy interacting with customers and fellow employees. You also spend some of your time taking classes and continuing to expand your knowledge and skills. You are excited to be part of our team and can’t wait to advance in this stable and well-paid career as a plumber!

Qualifications for an Entry-Level Apprentice Plumber

• A mechanical mind
• 2 years of experience
• Must have a current apprenticeship card in with the state of Texas
• Valid driver’s license and a clean driving record
• Ability to pass a background check and drug testing
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work from heights or small crawl spaces
• Basic computer and smartphone skills
